Life is easy here. Just a short walk from the buzzing city, it is as relaxed or energetic as you want it to be. We accommodate individuals and couples, in one bedroom apartments within almshouses, period buildings, and modern integrations.
Whilst we preserve the surrounding beauty, the welfare of residents is supported by a unique community presence on the estate.

2024 Transformation Project
Over a three-month period (February to end April 2024) we met with staff, residents and their families to explain and discuss our proposed changes, and we welcomed comments from the local community too. Throughout each stage of the consultation we have listened to residents, their families and our local community, and we are grateful to everyone for participating and sharing their views with us.

During the consultation (and looking to the future) the Great Hospital will continue to offer venue hire opportunities and catering services to organisers of weddings, meetings and special occasions.
History tours for clubs, groups and individuals with an interest in heritage buildings and architecture will also continue.
